 Helen

Hi, I’m Helen! Along with my husband I have been a partner in The Bridal Box since 2002. That time has flown by, i’ve helped hundreds of girls to find their perfect dress!

Having studied design and textiles at College I knew doing something ‘Arty’ was going to be more for me! However I’ve done my stint of working in an office environment and also running a warehouse, I think this has given me my organizational skills that you need during a busy wedding season!

I love helping our brides and sharing my knowledge of all thing weddings, making women feel confident about themselves is a truly magical thing but the most satisfying part of my ‘job’ is seeing the wedding photos come in after a brides wedding, it’s the finishing piece of the jigsaw.

Outside of wedding world I love music, which is why music is on in the boutique all the time, I do love a festival or any live music. Music can take you back to moment that makes you smile in an instant and I love that! I’m also a foodie, eating out with friends and family or just cooking at home makes me happy! For me life is about enjoying yourself and spending time with the people you love and make you smile!

 Abbie

Hi I’m Abbie, I’m 26, married and a mummy to daughter Delores. I love nothing more than to laugh and enjoy life, I have the happiest job in the world working at The Bridal Box boutique in Torquay, helping brides find their dream dress! I’m also a hair and make up stylist of almost 11 years and LOVE bringing out people’s confidence!

My favourite part about working for Team B.B. is dressing the brides, making women of all shapes and sizes feeling confident and fabulous in their own skin! Giving hair and make up advise to the brides will always be a huge favourite too as I live creating the picture of what the whole look will be.

In my spare time I love family time! Getting out and doing things with my husband and daughter couldn’t make me happier, however staying at home and chilling on the sofa with food a glass of whisky and game with Friends is my perfect Saturday night! Im definitely a winter person so it’s the perfect excuse to stay in of an evening! Warm fires lit, cosy lights, blankets and a good box set! I think if it could be Christmas all year round it would be perfect. Being a massive foodie it is usually mine and Helen’s top subject of the week, food!

 Sarah

Hello, my name is Sarah and I work with The Bridal Box freelance through my business Sarahsews.

As part of Team Bridal Box my role is as the Fitting/alteration specialist. I also work part time in the boutique helping our beautiful brides pick out their dream dress.

I have been working for and with Helen since around 2010 and I have altered dresses for lots of our beautiful brides. In that time we have had lots of challenges from customising dresses, taking dresses in for brides who have lost lots of weight, to pregnant brides who need room for bump and comfort for themselves! Secretly I love a challenge, just don’t let the others know.

I absolutely love my job and my whole life has been all about fashion and fit! I studied and gained a 2:1 Hons Degree in Fashion Design and Manufacturing after which I worked for many years in the London fashion industry starting out as a junior pattern cutter working up to senior pattern cutter and garment technologist.

I perfectly understand our dresses and how they fit from the inside out and love nothing more the tweaking those stunning dresses in the perfect fit for your amazing big day.

So there we are! The girls behind The Bridal Box Torquay! You know who we are now 🙂 So we now look forward to meeting you and getting to know you! xx
