We love Winter, wrapping up warm, layers, cosy jumpers! More importantly we love a Winter wedding! All 3 of us girls in the boutique had winter weddings so we would like to think we know our stuff when it comes to getting hitched at the darkest and coldest time of year!

All 3 of us had totally different types of weddings even thought they were all in the same season, so hopefully this shows you that anything goes!

Firstly me, Helen 🙂 Christmas is our quietest time supposedly in the boutique so along with my love of Winter and Christmas is was the perfect time for me and my husband to tie the knot! But doing the traditional wedding day wasn’t ever going to be us. Instead we had a late afternoon wedding by candle light on the 27th December 2004, we made everyone dress up in black tie and evening dress, we had the service, then the speeches, food was available all night and we went straight into our Christmas Wedding Ball!

Sarah, our seamstress and fitting expert, Married on the 3rd November 2012, again because its Sarah’s quietest time it suited her and around Bonfire night the added bonus of free firework displays made it even better 😉 Sarah had an intimate wedding with a lovely traditional sit down meal and dancing in the evening for those who had the energy after all that food!

Lastly is Abbie, off Abbie went to Iceland to get married in the snow 🙂 On the 30th November 2015 Abbie and Ben got married, just the two of them! A romantic break away with the added bonus of a white wedding!

Our 3 weddings were all very different and to be honest none of us had a dress that we thought would be perfect for the venue or time of year, we had what suited us and what we felt right in. Which is why we always say ‘follow your heart!’

So when we say we love Winter weddings, we really do! Fairy lights, candles, snow, dark evenings – how romantic!
